The 51212 bearing is a Thrust Ball Bearing with an inner diameter of 60 mm , an outer diameter of 95 mm, a width of 26 mm. It typically uses P0 P6 P5 grade precision tolerances and Z/ZZ/RS/2RS/Open type, together determine its load-bearing capacity, rotational accuracy, and applicable working conditions.

Thrust ball bearings are designed to accommodate thrust loads while operating at moderate to high speeds. These bearings are composed of "washer-like" bearing rings with raceway grooves for the balls. They only bear axial load in one direction, not radial load. As the axial load is evenly distributed on each ball, load capacity is very large. But the temperature is higher during working, allowing speed limit is lower.
Double direction thrust ball bearings can handle axial loads in both directions.
