Cylindrical roller bearings mostly consist of the cage, the rollers and guided by two capped edges on a ring. They are separable, convenient for assembly and disassembly. Especially they have the advantages in a condition that the interference is required and assorted with inner ring, outer ring and housing. Bearings of this type can normally take radial load, while single-row cylindrical roller bearings with ribbed inner ring and ribbed outer ring can take smaller axial load or intermittent axial load. This kind of bearings have a larger carrying capacity of axial load compared with deep-grooves ball bearings. The structure of such bearings shows that they run very well under high rotational speed.
The RN cylindrical roller bearings have an inner ring with double capped edge but do not come with outer ring.
