The investment in equipment manufacturing industry and high and new technology industry in Baotou is promising

 In 2016, the investment in equipment manufacturing industry and high-tech industry was favorably boosted, becoming attractions to promote the transformation and upgrading of investment and improve efficiency and quality.
　　
As the basic industry to provide technical equipment for all the industries in the national economy, the equipment manufacturing industry achieved an investment of 43.117 billion yuan last year, up 15.4% year on year, 1.0% above the pace of investment growth, accounting for 34.2% of the investment in industry. 

There were 77 projects under construction in the high and new technology industry construction in Baotou city last year, rising by 17 compared with the previous year, with an investment of 5.33 billion yuan, up 26.8% year on year, 19.2% above the pace of investment growth in industry, 12.4% of higher than total investment. The investment of high and new technology industry in Baotou city showed a healthy trend, among which, the software and information technology project such as the network and manufacturing platform of Cloud Manufacturing Engineering Technology Development Center as well as Application Center of Cloud Computing achieved an investment of 2.15 billion yuan, increasing by 2.2 times year on year. The investment in high and new technology industry took up 4.2% of the whole industry but contributed 12.6% of investment in industry.
