Up to June 30 2005, the amount of exported bearing units had hit 1.24 billion sets, increased by 18.05 percent from the same period last year; exported bearing parts 25,704.32 tons; rolling elements 20,976.77 tons. Earning through bearing export had hit $694.26 million, increased by 38.01 percent from last year. Export surplus on bearing products hit $66.39 million.
In the first half, Chinese bearings exported to 135 countries and areas all over the world. Earning via export was over $620.35 million, accounted for 89.35 percent of China's total export income. Additionally, export income toward 28 countries and areas has exceeded $5 million.
China imported 75,691.28 sets of bearings, up 10.34 percent on the prior corresponding period. Imported bearing parts 5,275.37 tons, rolling elements 2,077.59 tons. Cost on bearing importing was over $627.86 million, 16.23 percent more than the prior corresponding period.
In the first half, China imported bearings from 64 different countries and areas. Import cost was over $591.62 million, accounted for 94.23 percent of China's total import cost. Import cost toward 17 countries and areas has exceeded $5 million.
