Four-point contact ball bearings are single row angular contact ball bearings having raceways which are designed to allow axial loads acting in both directions to be accommodated. They need less space than double row bearings.

The four-point contact ball bearings have a contact angle of either 35°or 45°and a two-part inner ring. A large number of balls are incorporated, thus providing high load carrying capacity. The bearings are of separable design, i.e. the inner ring halves and the outer ring with ball and cage assembly can be mounted separately.
