 The main types of cage are series M and series K. KU. KH. The cage is made of high quality carbon steel or low carbon alloy steel (15CrMo,20CrmO) or plastic (nylon). The cage will have enough strength and anti-friction properties after chemical operating. The operating temperature of plastic cage should be 120°c, and 180°c is allowable on condition that it is short time operating.

The radial needle roller and cage assembly is a self retaining rolling unit. The long space between two guidance face is easy for both guiding the needle roller accurately and choose reasonable position. The type is recommened to use when the shaft and housing bores are used as raceway . The needle roller and cage assembly provides rolling bearing with high accuracy within low radial section height.

When the needle roller and cage assembly is operated between axis and shell, the radial clearance is determined by the processing tolerance of axis and shell's race way.

 In order for the radial needle roller bearing and cage assembly to meet with the load capacity , the hardness of raceway should be no less than 58-64HRC, the depth of hardened surface should be 0.6-1mm and roughness (Ra) shouldn't be over 0.2um
