In order to meet the increasing demands and further expand capacity, Wanxiang Group had introduced their fifth assembly line of wheel hub unit from Korea. Now the assembly line has been put into practical use after trial running.
This assembly line are used to produce several kinds of main machine parts to meet the requests of domestic customers. There are 10 different function modules integrated in this assembly line, including cleaning, flaw detection, parts matching, drying, viberation test, clearance test, grease injection, laser labeling etc. By using this facility, time cost for producing every wheel hub unit will be less than 20 seconds. Maximum annual output is 1.074 million sets.
It is said that this assembly line had experienced several design optimizations on basis of the former Second Generation Wheel Hub Unit Assembly Line. So it have outstanding performances in automation, parts matching, error prevention etc.
High level of automation: powered conveyor belt provide smooth processing. Accurate parts matching: after being measured, inner rings will be grouped into 5 classes then placed into specific operation areas. Nine kinds of steel balls are available for the matching, more than the previous 5 kinds, increasing the possibility of successful parts matching. More efficient error prevention measure: the integrated PLC can realize the assembling information share between every two neighbour assembly function modules and memorize all engineering data of over 5000 different parts.
To repel moisture and rust, the assembly line for the first time employ drying device, which make the parts fully dried. So that to achieve the ideal performance in avoiding rust and dilution of the grease. Additionally, there are some humanization improvements in the assembly line. For example, widen the operation table to place more products, prolonging treatment tunnel provide thorough cleaning and degaussing result.
With the coming of sales season of auto parts, the assembly line relaxed production pressures that the company should have faced. Meanwhile, introduction of this new assembly line also laid a foundation for Wanxiang to achieve their aim of being the World leading manufacturer of various main machines and first-tier supplier of auto parts.
