The choice of rolling bearing type

1. Load conditions
The size, direction and nature of axial load is the main basis that choose bearing type. If the load is small and steady, optional ball bearing; Big and impact load, appropriate chooses roller bearings; Such as bearing the radial load, only choose radial contact ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings; Only when the axial load, appropriate chooses thrust bearing. Bearing the radial and axial load at the same time, choose angular contact bearings, the greater the axial load, should choose the bigger the contact Angle of bearing, if necessary, also can choose the combination of radial bearing and thrust bearing structure. Should pay attention to can't bear radial load, thrust bearing cylindrical roller bearing can't carry axial load.
 

2. The speed of the bearing
If same size and precision of the bearing, ball bearing limit rotational speed is higher than roller bearing, so when the rotating speed and high accuracy requirement is high, choose the ball bearings. Thrust bearing limit rotational speed is low. When the working speed is higher, and the axial load is not big, can use angular contact ball bearing or deep groove ball bearings. For high speed rotary bearing, to reduce rolling bearings on their body of the centrifugal force, appropriate chooses smaller diameter and diameter of roller bearings. If work speed than bearing limit speed, but by helping to improve the tolerance grade of bearing, appropriate measures such as increasing the radial clearance to meet the requirements.

3. The self-aligning performance
Bearing between the inner and outer axis deviation Angle should be controlled within the limit value, as shown in table 12-5. Otherwise it will increase the additional load bearing and reduce its life. For the poor rigidity or installed shaft, bearing between the inner and outer axis offset Angle is bigger, appropriate chooses self-aligning bearing, such as self-aligning ball bearing (1) bearing, spherical roller bearing (2) etc.
 

4. Allow space
When the axial size is limited, appropriate chooses narrow or narrow bearing. When the radial size limit, appropriate chooses small roller bearings. As requirements radial size and radial load is very big, can choose needle roller bearing.

5. Install the performance
Tapered roller bearings (3) and cylindrical roller bearings (N) inside and outside the circle of separable, installation is more convenient.
 

6. Economy
In the case of meets the requirement should be as far as possible choose low price bearings. Usually a ball bearing is lower than the price of the roller bearing. Bearing level of accuracy is higher, the higher the price also. In the same size and precision of the bearing deep groove ball bearings of the lowest price. The same model, size, deep groove ball bearings with different levels of tolerance price is about: P0, P6: P5: P4: P2 material 1:1. 5:2:7:10. If no special requirements, should try to choose regular grade precision bearing, only have higher request for rotating accuracy, to choose high precision bearings.
