The SITP - Salon International des Travaux Publics - is an international trade fair for public works and construction machinery, which takes place once a year in Algier. Algeria has stable economic conditions and the government plans hihg investments in infrastructure projects such as the construction and modernization of ports and airports, the rebuilding of roads and the construction of the Trans-Sahara Highway. In that case modern technology is a key factor and will be offered at the SITP. Since its founding in 2003, this fair has developed as the most important Algerian exhibition of public works and construction sector and thus works as an international industry platform for the entire construction and maintenance industry. Exhibitors from around the world are showcasing their latest products, equipments and technologies in the fields of construction machinery, building materials machinery, mining and equipment. These include excavators, loaders and construction vehicles, construction equipment, construction pumps, building site equipment, compressors, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, stone processing machinery, scaffolding, formwork, tunnel and canal construction machinery as well as bulldozers and compactors. This exhibition is a successful rendezvous with guaranteed customer contact and enormous potential to create lasting business in one of the fastest growing markets in the region.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 5 days of the fair, from 21. November to 25. November 2013, about 402 exhibitors from 12 countries and 15600 visitors on the SITP in Algiers.
The SITP will take place on 5 days from Wednesday, 23. November to Sunday, 27. November 2016 in Algiers.
