How to choose bearing grease?

Reasonable choice of bearing grease, starting from the following factors, the choice of oil

• 1. DN value: According to the DN value to select the appropriate cone penetration, there is a suitable base oil viscosity.                                                                     
• • 2. Sealing material: Pay attention to the compatibility between the sealing material and the oil. Grease base oils may not be compatible with certain sealing materials, especially synthetic oils.
• • 3. Operating temperature: Select the appropriate type of base oil according to the operating temperature, pay attention to the high temperature and low temperature of the working temperature; select the appropriate type of thickener to ensure high temperature effect.                                                                            
• • 4. Load: Evaluate the load on the bearing and select the additive, for example if an AW/EP type additive is required.                                                                                       
• • 5. Lubrication method: whether it is manual filling or centralized lubrication pumping. In the case of concentrated supply of grease, greases of No. 00 to No. 1 should be selected; for the parts where grease and grease cups are regularly greased, grease No. 1 to No. 3 should be selected; for parts that are not used for long-term use, grease should be replaced. Use No. 2 or No. 3 grease.                                                                                                                                           
• • 6. Special requirements: such as low noise requirements.                                              
• • 7. Environment: whether there is dust, moisture, chemical media, etc. If the chemical medium is strong, synthetic oil greases such as fluorocarbon greases should be used.
