After several rounds of contests for 2015 Ningbo Automation Intelligent) Outfit Pilot Project, only 4 out of the 60 projects applied, including CW Bearing's "Bearing Manufacturing Workshop Digital Transformation" Project, were on the final list.
The two-year project is to build a multi-level digital closed-loop operation system based on the development and adoption of a series of intelligent devices and software system, through which both the machine to machine operation and the machine to people operation are available.
The project has been progressed smoothly since the beginning of this year, a total of three intelligent assembly lines have been put in use, and one heat treatment shop has realized intelligent unattended operation. The number of employees can be reduced by about 30% after the completion of the whole project.
CW Bearing reported sales of 416 million yuan from January to July 2015, which mainly comes from high-end automotive bearings, representing an increase of 26.23%. The annual sales is estimated to reach 10 billion yuan, with profits of over one hundred million yuan.
