The 22222 EK/VA751 Spherical roller bearings mainly consist of a spherical outer ring, a double-raceway inner ring, two rows of drum-shaped rollers, and a cage. The outer ring raceway is spherical, providing self-aligning functionality. To accommodate high-speed printing, a solid brass cage is often used, with radial clearance configured according to group C3. Some models may include lubrication grooves and oil holes.
Spherical roller bearings offer excellent self-aligning performance, compensating for deflection and misalignment of printing press cylinders under high-speed operation. They have high radial load capacity, capable of withstanding heavy loads and impacts generated by printing pressure. Low friction and low temperature rise ensure registration accuracy during high-speed printing. A special clearance design accommodates shaft thermal expansion, preventing over-alignment.
